[Celebrity Recommendation] When the Aurora Comes True—Their First Alaskan Experience

Some dreams you think you have to wait a long time for. Seeing the aurora borealis is probably one of them. You've saved a few photos, liked a few, and secretly searched for flights on some sleepless nights, then closed the window and told yourself: wait until later, when you have time, a plan, and someone to go with.

But sometimes, all it takes is a trigger to decide what will happen "later".

Before setting off, the aurora borealis was a "distant dream".

Before setting off, Mu Qing and Xi Ka were also the kind of people who thought "the aurora is so far away".

"I used to think that seeing the aurora was a distant dream, and just thinking about the trip made me feel that it would be very difficult to achieve."

Planning a trip to a place where you don't speak the language, the climate is harsh, and the terrain is unfamiliar—the mere thought of it is enough to make anyone hesitate. But this time, thanks to Sky Horse, they discovered that it could be so simple! Upon landing, a Chinese-speaking guide awaits you at the airport, with chartered transportation throughout the trip, and accommodation and entrance fees all taken care of. They described the trip as "all you need to do is buy plane tickets," and remember to buy a few warm enough clothes.

And so, the two best friends booked plane tickets together and flew to Alaska.

Once you land, you won't have to worry about anything.

This trip made them realize that when it comes to chasing the aurora, leaving it to professionals makes a huge difference.

No need to drive in the dark through the snow and ice, no need to guess where to wait or which direction to take based on a phone map – Sky Horse's guides are all local Alaskan residents, experienced and knowledgeable about hidden gems, departure times, and how to seize every opportunity. Even more surprising, the guides also act as photographers throughout the trip, meticulously capturing every indescribable moment with professional cameras.

"This trip was not only about seeing the aurora borealis with our own eyes, but also about preserving those touching moments."

Looking at the sky alone and going home with a bunch of photos are completely different memories.

Three days to cross your dreams off the list.

During their seven-day, six-night trip, they went out to chase the aurora borealis for three days and saw it all three times.

"I basically achieved my dream in the first three days."

The moment they were surrounded by the aurora felt magical and unbelievable—it felt real, yet they could hardly believe it. That night, they witnessed a massive aurora outburst, standing in the snow and ice, looking up at the flowing light across the sky.

"It's so beautiful, it's like a dream."

It's not just about chasing the light, it's about being awestruck by the world once again.

Besides the aurora borealis, there were many other unforgettable moments on this trip. Glacier hiking was Mu Qing's second favorite activity—stepping on real glaciers, the world beneath her feet was as still as another planet, "It was rare and very fun." There were also scenes of soaking in hot springs in the snow and ice, and dogs pulling sleds, each of which was something that would never happen in daily life.

For Sika, this trip was more like an opportunity to be awestruck by the world once again. The magnificent national parks, the step onto the glacier—every journey reminded her: "This world is truly more magnificent and beautiful than I imagined."

The two returned, each deeply moved, yet uttering the same words: "Alaska truly is a place you should visit at least once in your life."
