Alaska Tourism|Five Day Itinerary Outline

D1 Day 1.Origin → Anchorage World's largest water airport and earthquake park
The first stop on an Alaskan trip from the largest city in the state[Anchorage]Kick off the trip. Located on the shores of Cook Inlet, the spectacular Chugach Mountains and glaciers are the starting point for a journey where nature meets culture. In summer, the sun shines for more than 19 hours, and the sun doesn't set until around 10pm, making it a fantasy movie-like day in the sun.
* It is recommended to take a flight arriving around 3:00 p.m. local time, check in (check-in time at Alaska summer hotels is 16:00), have a light meal and then smoothly connect to the evening program.
At 8:00pm, we will visit the world's most frequently landed and taken off water airport, Hau Tak Lake Waterfront Airport, and enjoy the spectacular view of more than 200 airplane landings and takeoffs every day. Then you will go to the recognized best photo spot - [Earthquake Park Observation Deck], overlooking the panoramic view of Cook Inlet and downtown Anchorage. In the falling night sky, you will be the first to record the magical scenery of Alaska.
🛏️ Accommodation: Courtyard by Marriott / SpringHill Suites / La Quinta / Westmark Anchorage or similar.
🍴 Meals: in-flight or on your own (there are a number of delicious restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, or you can ask your guide for recommendations!)

D2 Day 2.Whittier Township, Portage Glacier Cruise, Wildlife Conservation Center
After a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel, we will depart at 8:30am for Whiter. Located on the west coast of Prince William Sound, we pass through a mysterious tunnel and arrive at this quiet town tucked between the mountains and the sea. Once a military port during the Cold War, it is now a popular spot for glacier tours and fishing.
Take the Portage Glacier Cruise from the harbor and travel between huge icebergs, listening to the low sound of glaciers colliding and melting as you slowly approach the glacier, and enjoying the shocking sight of giant ice cubes crashing into the sea, which is not only a marvel at the power of nature, but also carries a healing, meditative atmosphere.
The last tour of the day will be to the Alaska Animal Conservation Center, where you will have a close encounter with local native animals, many of which are large mammals that you usually only see on TV or in museums, such as brown bears, black bears, musk oxen, moose, and arctic wolves, which is sure to be an interesting experience!

🍴 Meals: breakfast served at the hotel; lunch and dinner on your own

D3 Day 3.Matanuska Glacier Ice Hiking Adventure Day
08:30 Start the day's journey on time! Travel east to the Matanuska Glacier, a 2.5-hour drive from Anchorage, and travel through the picturesque Matanuska Valley, looking north to the Taokina Mountains and south to the Chugach Mountains, with glaciers dotting the landscape, just like being on the National Geographic Channel.
Matanuska Glacier is the largest glacier in the U.S. that can be reached by car (but it is on private land, so you need to follow the tour and cannot go there by yourself). Professional guides will take you on a 2-3 hour ice hike to experience glaciers, ice caves, and explore crystals that are millions of years old, and to immerse yourself in a white and blue world of ice and snow! At the end of the tour, you will arrive back to the city at around 5:00 p.m. and enjoy visiting the stores and restaurants in the neighborhood.
* :: Free ice crampons, trekking poles and helmets at the venue
Recommended to bring your own: non-slip hiking shoes, jacket, gloves, sunglasses, etc.
The Matanuska Glacier is very gentle and safe, and in summer the ice is not too cold for travelers to worry too much!

D4 Day 4.Seward, Kenai Gorge National Park, Exit Glacier
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, depart at 8:30am for a 2.5-hour drive to Seward, a small port town on the southern coast of Alaska. Surrounded by mountains and blue bays, the town has a frozen harbor and abundant wildlife resources, making Seward one of the first towns in Alaska to develop. On a cool summer day, you can stroll along the black sand beaches, feel the North Pacific Ocean breeze, and maybe even spot sea lions and dolphins.
Afterwards, we will enter Kenai Fjords National Park to witness the retreat of glaciers caused by global warming, as well as the historical traces left by glaciers for thousands of years, and watch the famous Exit Glacier's geomorphological changes from a close distance. The Exit Glacier is one of the few glaciers that can be reached from land, but due to global warming, it is receding at a rate of 15 meters per year, making it one of the must-visit glaciers for many travelers!
Return to Anchorage in the evening around 17:30 for the last night of your Alaska tour.

Under the guidance of professional tour guides, you will hike on the tundra covered with wildflowers and lush grasses. In summer, you will have the chance to see native groundhogs, snowshoe rabbits, golden eagles and other cute animals, and in late fall, you will have the chance to pick Alaskan blueberries.
Independence State Mining Historical Park] is an important gold rush site in Alaska's history. Visit the well-preserved mine buildings, walk through the remains of the gold mines, learn about Alaska's gold rush days and the life of the miners, and experience the gold rush activities for yourself.
The five-day Alaska tour will end around 4:00 p.m. We recommend taking a flight that leaves Anchorage after 20:00 p.m. that evening.
