Born grew up in the U.S. and holds a master's degree in both English and French, in addition to speaking fluent English. He was not the first stand-up comedian in Taiwan, but he is the man behind the development of Taiwan's comedy industry. In 2024, he and Heron are bringing their stand-up comedy world tour "Herb's Taiwan Madness" to many countries, including five shows in the United States, including Los Angeles, Hollywood, San Diego, and New York.

In a short IG video, Boone introduced his top three must-eat items when he visits the U.S.: Mexican food, which is hard to come by in Taiwan; American Chinese food with unique flavors (such as Panda Express); and melatonin, which is available on the shelves of U.S. drugstores. It was a great honor for them to enjoy a driving trip in the western United States at the same time as the tour went smoothly!
